Katsina Hajj Delegation Charges Guides on Discipline, Patience, Pilgrims’ Welfare Ahead of 2026 Hajj

-

The Katsina State 2026 Hajj Delegation has charged Hajj guides to discharge their responsibilities with discipline, patience and commitment in order to ensure a smooth pilgrimage exercise for intending pilgrims from the state.

The Amirul Hajj and leader of the delegation, Barrister Ahmad Usman El-Marzuq, gave the charge during a meeting with Hajj guides attended by members of the delegation as well as the Chairman and members of the Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare Board.

Speaking at the meeting, the Amirul Hajj told the guides to regard their assignments as a priority throughout the pilgrimage period, stressing that their official responsibilities should take precedence while performing their personal acts of worship alongside their duties.

He warned officials against negligence or feeling too important to perform assigned responsibilities because of personal relationships with influential individuals.

Barrister El-Marzuq also disclosed that issues relating to gold and silver teeth among pilgrims would be coordinated under an appointed leader to prevent pilgrims from being cheated or exploited.

He further urged the guides to seek clarification from appointed religious leaders whenever they encounter issues relating to Hajj rites or other matters they do not properly understand.
