Masari Engages Katsina Media, Mobilises APC Supporters Ahead of 2027

-

KATSINA — The Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Political and Other Matters, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari, has called for greater unity, responsible communication and grassroots mobilisation as the All Progressives Congress (APC) prepares for the 2027 general elections.

Masari made the call during a series of engagements in Katsina State, including an interactive session with journalists and online media practitioners and a meeting with APC supporters and political stakeholders at Nabanje in Kafur Local Government Area.

At the media engagement held on September 3, Masari emphasised the importance of a responsible media in strengthening public confidence, promoting development and deepening democratic participation.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Dr Muttaka Rabe Darma; Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education, Dr Muhammad Idris; Dr Abu Muhammad; Hon. Aminu Ibrahim Kafur, member representing Malumfashi/Kafur Federal Constituency; Hon. Jabiru Tsauri; and Dr Garba Shehu Matazu.

Speaking at the meeting, Darma commended journalists for their role in public enlightenment and democratic development, urging them to uphold professionalism, factual reporting and responsible communication.

The media practitioners, in response, pledged to continue using their platforms to highlight the achievements of President Tinubu and APC-led administrations in Katsina State, the North and Nigeria, while providing constructive advice in the interest of national development.

Masari thanked the journalists and online media practitioners for their commitment, stressing that a credible and responsible media remained essential to effective governance and public engagement.

The following day, Masari turned his attention to grassroots political mobilisation, addressing thousands of APC supporters and political stakeholders who gathered at Nabanje, his hometown in Kafur LGA.

The gathering, held shortly after the Jumu’ah prayer at Nabanje Mosque, formed part of political consultations and grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 elections.

Masari urged APC members across Katsina State to remain united and sustain their support for President Tinubu and his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

He also called on party supporters to support Governor Dikko Umar Radda for continuity of the APC-led administration in the state.

According to Masari, unity, effective grassroots mobilisation and peaceful political engagement would be critical to the party’s success in the 2027 elections.

He further urged APC members to vote for the party’s candidates across elective positions, arguing that a united party structure would strengthen the APC’s political standing in the state.

Also speaking at the Nabanje gathering, Alhaji Maiwada Daudawa commended the turnout and called for continued unity and commitment among APC members.

He said sustained grassroots mobilisation and collective efforts would be crucial to the party’s electoral prospects in 2027.

Among those who accompanied Masari to the grassroots engagement were Darma, Dr Muhammad Idris, Hon. Jabiru Tsauri, Daudawa, Dr Shehu Matazu, Hon. Aminu Ibrahim Kafur and Hon. Samaila Garba Sabuwar Kasa, among others.
