Katsina Receives Huawei DigiTruck to Boost Digital Learning

-

KATSINA — Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has received a Huawei DigiTruck mobile digital classroom to support the expansion of digital education and improve access to technology-driven learning across the state.

The presentation, held at the Muhammadu Buhari House, is part of efforts to bridge the digital gap among students, particularly in underserved communities.

Radda described the initiative as a timely intervention that will enhance digital literacy, noting that the facility comes equipped with internet access, power supply, and modern learning tools.

“This initiative is a significant step toward addressing the digital learning needs of our students,” he said, assuring that the mobile classroom would be effectively deployed across the state.

The governor added that the DigiTruck is among the few of its kind in the country and resulted from sustained engagement between the state government and Huawei Technologies.

He, however, noted that more such interventions would be needed to meet growing demand, describing the project as a foundation for broader expansion of digital learning infrastructure.

Radda also urged students to take advantage of the opportunity to acquire digital skills needed for the modern world.

Speaking at the event, Aliyu Isah Bugaje said the initiative reflects strong collaboration between Huawei and Katsina State, adding that the mobile classroom provides a practical solution to bridging the digital divide.

Director-General of the Katsina State Directorate of ICT (KATDICT), Naufal Ahmad, described the DigiTruck as a response to increasing demand for digital literacy, especially as schools transition toward computer-based learning and examinations.

He noted that the mobile facility is designed to reach communities lacking digital infrastructure, ensuring equitable access to learning opportunities for students across the state.

The event was attended by representatives of Huawei, government officials, and stakeholders in the education and ICT sectors.
