Katsina Governor Inspects Kafin Soli Booster Station as ₦31.8bn Zobe Water Project Progresses

-

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has inspected the Kafin Soli Water Plant Booster Station, a critical component of the ongoing ₦31.8 billion Zobe Water Supply Project (Phase 1B), as part of efforts to monitor the progress of key infrastructure projects across the state.

The governor made the stopover at the facility while returning from Kano to Katsina, where he assessed the level of work at the site.

During the inspection, the Project Manager of Mutual Construction Company (MCC) conducted the governor round the facility and briefed him on the progress of the project and the strategic role of the booster station in the state’s water supply network.

The Kafin Soli Booster Station serves as a major transmission hub under the Zobe Dam Water Supply Scheme, facilitating the extension of pipelines that will deliver treated water to several local government areas.

When completed, the project is expected to provide potable water to Dutsin-Ma, Kankia, Charanchi, Rimi, Batagarawa, Kurfi and Katsina metropolis, as well as communities including Kankia, Tafashiya, Yan’albasa and other surrounding settlements.

During the visit, Governor Radda also inspected newly delivered high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes at the Kafin Soli yard. The pipes are expected to accelerate ongoing pipeline installation under the Phase 1B project.

The ₦31.8 billion Zobe Water Supply Project forms part of the Katsina State Government’s efforts to expand access to clean and reliable water, strengthen public infrastructure and improve the quality of life for residents across the state.

The governor was accompanied on the inspection by his Chief of Staff, Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, and other senior government officials.
