-

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has flagged off the distribution of empowerment packages and food grains worth over ₦100 million to more than 4,000 beneficiaries in Katsina State.

The items were donated by philanthropist Alhaji Ibrahim Ali Guguwa through his foundation and formally launched at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.

The distribution included assorted grains and business support packages aimed at improving the livelihoods of beneficiaries, particularly during the Ramadan period. Seven luxury vehicles were also presented to leaders and loyal supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking at the event, Governor Radda expressed appreciation to Guguwa for what he described as a generous and timely intervention, noting that such gestures complement government efforts to support vulnerable groups.

He urged beneficiaries to make productive use of the items and capital provided by expanding their businesses, supporting their families and assisting others from the proceeds.

Earlier, Guguwa said the initiative was inspired by the governor’s Gwagware Foundation and was designed to improve socio-economic conditions in the state. He called on residents to continue supporting the administration’s development drive.
