Governor Radda Appoints Kabir Dodo Coordinator of Katsina Teacher Development Centre

-

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has approved the appointment of Kabir Dodo as Coordinator of the State Teacher Development and Training Centre.

The appointment, announced by the Katsina State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, is aimed at strengthening teacher capacity development and professional training as part of ongoing reforms in the state’s education sector.

Before his new appointment, Dodo served as Director of Schools (Junior) in the ministry, where he oversaw aspects of junior secondary school administration across the state.

He also worked as the state focal person for an education support programme jointly implemented by the European Union and UNESCO, where he coordinated initiatives designed to improve teaching standards, teacher training and learning outcomes in schools.

Officials said Dodo’s experience in educational administration, policy implementation and teacher development initiatives is expected to enhance the operations of the Teacher Development and Training Centre, particularly in delivering professional development programmes for teachers across the state.

The state government said the appointment reflects its commitment to implementing strategic reforms in the education sector, with emphasis on strengthening teachers’ capacity, improving classroom instruction and achieving better learning outcomes for students.

According to the ministry, the government expressed confidence that Dodo would bring his experience and dedication to the role and contribute to advancing the quality of education in Katsina State.
