Officials from the Federal Government and the Katsina State Government on Tuesday inspected the ongoing road project facilitated by the member representing Bakori–Danja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdullahi Balarabe Dabai, linking Tsiga, Barde-Kwantakwaram, Kadabo, Unguwar Iliya and extending to Kafur.
The inspection team, drawn from the Federal Ministry of Works and relevant state government agencies, visited Tsiga and Barde-Kwantakwaram wards on May 12, 2026, to assess the progress of work on the road and identify structures that may be affected along the project corridor.

The road project, which is currently under construction, is expected to improve transportation, boost economic activities and ease movement for residents of the affected communities and surrounding areas.
Ongoing works at the site include the construction of three bridges, while significant progress has reportedly been made on other sections of the road. Construction materials and equipment have also been mobilised to the Mahauta axis, where additional road works are expected to continue.
The delegation was received by representatives of the District Head of Tsiga, community representatives from Barde and Kwantakwaram, as well as representatives of Hon. Dabai led by his Senior Legislative Aide, Alhaji Audu Isyaku, alongside other committee members overseeing the project.
Residents and stakeholders in the area expressed appreciation for the intervention, describing the project as a major development initiative that would positively impact livelihoods and connectivity across the constituency.
