CLC Completes Office Renovation in Kakumi Ward Under Katsina Community Development Programme

-

Reported by Adamu Tela Bakori

The Community Level Committee (CLC) of Kakumi Ward, operating under the Katsina State Community Development Programme (KTSCDP), has successfully completed the renovation of its ward office following approval from the programme’s headquarters in Katsina.

The KTSCDP, led by Dr. Kamaluddeen Kabir Katsina, earlier granted permission to the Kakumi Ward Committee headed by Aminu Mansur Bakori to utilise part of its intervention funds for the project.

Earlier this year, Governor Dikko Umar Radda’s administration disbursed ₦10 million to each ward across the state to support small-scale community projects. The initiative has enabled several wards to secure approval for rehabilitating motorised boreholes and other essential facilities to improve water supply and general welfare.

In the most recent round of approvals, six out of the eleven wards in Bakori Local Government Area received authorization to allocate portions of their funds for office renovation. The move aims to create more functional spaces for receiving complaints, addressing community needs, and enhancing accessibility for residents.

Below is the breakdown of funds approved for office repairs in the benefiting wards:

1. Kurami/Yankwani – ₦2,119,640.00

2. Jargaba – ₦3,000,000.00

3. Kabomo – ₦992,200.00

4. Guga – ₦1,733,155.00

5. Bakori B – ₦999,000.00

6. Kakumi – ₦1,691,915.00

According to officials, the CLC in Kakumi Ward has fully completed its renovation work, with photographs verifying the quality and scope of the project.

Further updates on the progress of other wards are expected soon, according to the Katsina State Government media team.
