Mixed reactions have trailed the transfer of a teacher from Government Pilot Secondary School, Dayi, in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The staff, Mallam Saleh Mahmoud Bakori, who served as a senior master at the school, was recently promoted and transferred to another school as Vice Principal.

While some parents and community members have expressed joy over his promotion, others believe he should have been retained in Dayi due to his outstanding contributions to the school’s progress.

A section of parents argued that the education authorities in Malumfashi Zonal Office ought to have promoted and kept him in Dayi, considering his dedication and positive impact on both students and staff.

However, another group of parents commended the transfer, describing it as a deserved recognition of his service. They urged the community to accept the development in good faith and pray for his success in his new posting.

They also encouraged other teachers at Government Pilot Secondary School, Dayi, to emulate Mallam Saleh Mahmoud Bakori’s exemplary conduct and commitment to duty, noting that such dedication earns both community respect and divine reward.
