Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has announced plans to reconstruct the 19-kilometre Garo–Yar Riga–Randawa road in Mashi Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The governor made the disclosure during the inauguration of one of the newly established Outpatient Therapeutic Programme (OTP) centres in the area, noting that the road project has already been captured under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAMP).
According to him, the reconstruction will improve connectivity among rural communities, facilitate the movement of agricultural produce, and support economic activities in the area.
“The reconstruction of this road will enhance connectivity, ease transportation of farm produce, and support rural development,” Radda said.
He appealed to residents of the benefiting communities to remain patient pending the commencement of the project, assuring them of the government’s commitment to its execution.
The governor reiterated that his administration remains focused on improving infrastructure and healthcare delivery across the state as part of broader development efforts.
The planned road project is part of ongoing initiatives to boost rural infrastructure and strengthen economic growth in the state.
Governor Radda was accompanied on the visit by his Chief of Staff, Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, Principal Private Secretary Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji, and other members of the State Executive Council.
