Governor Radda Felicitates Christians, Calls for Unity and Tolerance

-

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has felicitated with Christians in Katsina State and across Nigeria on the occasion of Christmas, urging them to use the season to promote unity, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

In a goodwill message issued on Tuesday, the Governor called on Christians to reflect on the teachings of Jesus Christ, particularly the values of love, sacrifice, peace and compassion for humanity.

Governor Radda described Christmas as a significant period for spiritual renewal and recommitment to values that foster harmony and national unity, stressing that religious and ethnic differences should not divide Nigerians.

“As we celebrate this joyous season, I call on all Christians to embrace the spirit of love and tolerance that Christ exemplified throughout his earthly ministry,” the Governor said.

He emphasized that unity among Nigerians remains vital to building a safer and more prosperous Katsina State and Nigeria, noting that no meaningful development can be achieved without mutual respect and cooperation among people of different faiths.

The Governor also called for sustained collaboration between Christians, Muslims and adherents of other religions in the state, describing religious tolerance as a key driver of peace, development and progress.

According to him, collective efforts and unity of purpose will enable the state and the nation to overcome prevailing challenges.

Governor Radda further urged Christians to pray for peace, security and prosperity in Katsina State and Nigeria during the Christmas season, adding that both divine guidance and human commitment are required to achieve lasting progress.

He reassured Christians in Katsina State of his administration’s commitment to safeguarding their rights, guaranteeing their safety and providing an enabling environment for all citizens to practice their faith without fear or discrimination.

The Governor wished Christians a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year filled with peace, joy and renewed hope.
