A policeman has been killed following a bandits’ attack on Sayaya village in Matazu Local Government Area of Katsina State, prompting a visit by Governor Dikko Umaru Radda.

The attackers reportedly stormed the community, ambushed a police station—resulting in the death of an officer—before targeting a Primary Health Care Centre and looting several shops.
During his visit to the affected community, Governor Radda inspected damaged facilities, including the health centre and commercial outlets, to assess the extent of destruction caused by the attack.

He also met with residents and commiserated with them over the incident, expressing condolences to the Divisional Police Officer and personnel of the command over the loss of their colleague.
The governor further extended sympathy to families affected by the violence and assured them of government support.
As part of immediate measures, Radda directed the deployment of additional security personnel to the area to strengthen protection and prevent further attacks.
