Councillor representing Bakori A Ward A in the Bakori Local Government Council, Hon. Nafi’u Abubakar, has distributed cash assistance to selected women and elderly residents of his constituency.
The distribution took place on Monday, September 28, 2026, as part of a wider initiative by councillors in the local government to provide support to residents.

Speaking during the exercise, Abubakar urged constituents to reciprocate the development efforts of the Katsina State Government, led by Governor Dikko Umar Radda, by supporting programmes and initiatives that directly benefit communities.
He cited road projects and other forms of government support being implemented in the constituency as examples of interventions that, according to him, have reached communities at the grassroots.
The councillor also announced plans for additional development projects in the constituency, including the Rubu-Rubu irrigation project and a tomato processing plant, which he said would commence soon.
At the end of the event, Abubakar presented cash support to selected women and elderly residents under the programme.

He appealed to residents who were not included among the beneficiaries in the first phase to remain patient, assuring them that they could benefit in subsequent rounds.
