Hon. Abdullahi Balarabe Dabai, the member representing Bakori/Danja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has distributed 105 mobility tricycles to persons with disabilities from Bakori and Danja Local Government Areas of Katsina State.
The tricycles were presented to beneficiaries on Monday, July 13, 2026, as part of the lawmaker’s constituency intervention programmes aimed at improving the welfare and mobility of persons with disabilities.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Bakori Local Government Association of Persons with Disabilities, Malam Shehu Amadu, expressed appreciation to Dabai for the gesture, describing it as unprecedented in the constituency.
He said the association was delighted with the intervention, noting that it was the first time a politician had provided such support to persons with disabilities in the area without regard to political affiliation.
Amadu added that the association undertook a careful selection process to ensure that the tricycles were distributed to those most in need.
He also pledged the association’s continued support for the lawmaker and expressed optimism about his political future ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In his remarks, Dabai called on political leaders, philanthropists and other well-to-do individuals to extend support to persons with disabilities, describing such assistance as both a humanitarian responsibility and an act of worship.
The lawmaker also urged residents of Bakori and Danja to continue praying for lasting peace in Katsina State and Nigeria.
The distribution of the 105 mobility tricycles is one of several constituency interventions undertaken by Dabai over the past two and a half years, with a focus on improving the welfare of vulnerable groups and expanding access to essential support services in Bakori and Danja Local Government Areas.
