ABUJA — Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Engr. Muttaqha Rabe Darma, has inspected the Centralised Land Repository and Management System (CLRMS) ahead of its official launch, reaffirming the Federal Government’s commitment to digitising land administration and improving service delivery across the housing sector.
The digital platform, developed by Barnksforte Technologies Limited, is expected to streamline land titling processes, speed up the issuance of Certificates of Occupancy (C of O), improve records management and boost government revenue through a more transparent and efficient land administration system.

During the inspection, Darma said efficient land administration is essential to unlocking Nigeria’s housing and economic potential, stressing that the Federal Government remains committed to deploying technology-driven solutions that provide faster, more transparent and citizen-centred services.
He explained that the introduction of the CLRMS aligns with the Ministry’s broader reform agenda aimed at eliminating bureaucratic bottlenecks, reducing processing timelines and strengthening public confidence in government land administration.
According to the developers, the platform has been designed to close existing gaps in land processing procedures by providing seamless handling of applications from submission to approval while promoting accountability and improving users’ experience.
The minister expressed satisfaction with the progress made on the platform and directed that all necessary measures be taken to ensure operational readiness before its official launch, enabling Nigerians to benefit from faster and more efficient land administration services.

The inspection forms part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to modernise land administration through digital technology and improve the ease of doing business in the housing sector.
The Ministry said the Centralised Land Repository and Management System is expected to mark a major milestone in its digital transformation programme and support the Federal Government’s drive to strengthen governance, enhance revenue generation and promote sustainable urban development.
