The member representing Bakori–Danja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdullahi Balarabe Dabai (AB Dabai), has met with leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bakori Local Government Area to formally declare his intention to seek re-election for a second term.
The meeting, which took place on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, was held at the APC office in Bakori, where party leaders received the lawmaker alongside his entourage.

Hon. Dabai was accompanied by the former Chairman of Bakori Local Government, Hon. Ali Mamman Mechitta, a former State Financial Secretary of the APC in Katsina State and current Special Assistant to the Governor, Alhaji Musa Dankawu, as well as several aides and supporters.
Addressing party stakeholders, the lawmaker said he had made deliberate efforts to deliver on his mandate, noting that he had not only executed projects across the constituency but had also supplemented them with personal resources. He pledged to further support party leaders by providing vehicles and motorcycles to ease their mobility and enhance grassroots political activities, in line with earlier requests made by party officials.

In their responses, some APC leaders in the area urged Hon. Dabai to maintain closer engagement with party members at all levels to strengthen unity and progress within the party. They also assured him of their full support ahead of the forthcoming general elections, expressing confidence in his chances of securing victory.
The lawmaker, in his closing remarks, appealed to the APC Chairman in Bakori, Alhaji Tahamu Yusuf Barde, to organise a wider consultation meeting with other aspirants and stakeholders, stressing the need for unity and collective progress within the party.
