Katsina Govt Offers Scholarship for Master’s Programmes in China

Katsina, April 2, 2026 — The Katsina State Government has announced a scholarship opportunity for qualified candidates to pursue Master’s degree programmes in universities in the People’s Republic of China.

The offer, coordinated through the Katsina State Scholarship Board, covers a range of specialised fields including Mining and Mineral Engineering, Safety Science and Engineering, General Medicine, Sports Medicine, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Computer Science and Technology, Clinical Genetics, Pediatrics, Neurology, and Transportation Engineering.

In a statement issued by the Executive Secretary of the board, Aminu Salisu Tsauri, interested applicants are required to possess a minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1) degree in a relevant field.

Other requirements include an international passport, academic transcript, medical certificate, police character certificate, two recommendation letters, a one-minute video introduction, O’Level results, and a curriculum vitae.

The application deadline has been fixed for April 6, 2026, while submission is to be made electronically via a designated WhatsApp contact provided by the board.

The state government urged eligible candidates to take advantage of the opportunity, noting that successful applicants will be contacted through their registered phone numbers.

The initiative is part of efforts by the Katsina State Government to enhance human capital development through international education and capacity building.
