12 Katsina Youth Craft Village Instructors Earn National Digital Skills Certification

-

Twelve instructors of the Katsina Youth Craft Village (KYCV) have obtained the Certified Digital Skills Trainer certification issued by the Computer Professionals (Registration Council of Nigeria) (CPN) after completing a professional training programme and passing the required examination.

The certification was granted under a Continuing Professional Development initiative designed to strengthen the digital teaching capacity of instructors and improve the quality of skills training at the centre.

Management of the vocational training institution said the programme was sponsored by the Katsina State Government as part of efforts by Governor Dikko Umaru Radda to promote human capital development and expand technical skills acquisition among youths in the state.

The management and staff of the centre expressed appreciation to the governor for supporting the training, noting that the initiative would significantly enhance the institution’s ability to deliver modern, industry-relevant digital skills to young people.

The Coordinator of the centre, Engr. Kabir Abdullahi Kofar Soro, described the certification as a strategic investment in the training capacity of the institution.

“Skills training always thrives with constant training. By upgrading the competencies of our instructors, the government is strengthening the entire skills ecosystem of the state,” he said.

Kofar Soro added that the continued support of the state government has helped reposition the centre as a major institution for vocational training and skills development in Nigeria.

According to him, the government’s commitment to skills development has improved training infrastructure and programmes at the centre while placing the Katsina Youth Craft Village among recognised skills acquisition centres and National Skills Qualification training providers in the country.

The management reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the state government’s vision of equipping young people with practical, marketable and technology-driven skills capable of boosting productivity and economic growth in Katsina State.
