Katsina Radio Now Runs 18-Hour Daily Transmission After State Intervention

The Katsina State-owned radio station now operates 18 hours of uninterrupted daily transmission following recent upgrades by the state government, a development expected to strengthen public enlightenment and information dissemination across the state.

The General Manager of the station, Malam Lawal Attahiru Bakori, commended Governor Dikko Umaru Radda for what he described as timely intervention that has revived and repositioned the broadcast outfit.

In a statement, Bakori expressed satisfaction with the projects executed under the current administration, noting that they have significantly improved the station’s operational capacity.

He said the installation of solar power inverters at both the Katsina and Dutsin-Ma stations has ensured more reliable and uninterrupted broadcasting services.

The General Manager also acknowledged the completion of perimeter fencing at the two sub-stations, the construction and installation of new gates, and the rehabilitation of previously unserviceable vehicles, among other improvements.

According to him, the government’s support has provided a major boost to media operations in the state, enabling the station to better serve the public.

Bakori urged staff members to demonstrate commitment and professionalism in response to the government’s gesture, while also appealing to listeners to continue patronising the station and offering constructive suggestions to enhance service delivery.
