The Katsina State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has unveiled a Unified Action Plan to guide academic and administrative activities in all basic and secondary schools across the state for the second term of the 2025/2026 academic session.

The Action Plan, according to the ministry, is aimed at strengthening teaching and learning, improving supervision, ensuring compliance with educational standards, and enhancing coordination of academic activities throughout the term.

The second term of the 2025/2026 academic session is scheduled to commence on Sunday, January 11, 2026, and end on Friday, April 24, 2026.

A statement issued on Friday by the Media Assistant to the Katsina State Governor in the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Bashir Ya’u, explained that the unified framework would apply to public, private, and community schools across the state.

The plan is expected to promote standardized implementation of academic programmes, continuous monitoring and inspection of schools, strengthened quality assurance mechanisms, proper record-keeping, and improved accountability in school administration.

The ministry added that effective implementation of the Action Plan would enhance students’ academic performance and overall school effectiveness.

All relevant departments, school administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders have been directed to adhere strictly to the Action Plan to achieve the state government’s objectives of quality education delivery in Katsina State.
