The Katsina State Government on Tuesday convened a Security Council meeting at the Government House, Katsina, to review the security situation and strengthen strategies for maintaining peace and stability across the state.

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Governor, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe, and brought together heads of security agencies, chairmen of frontline local government areas, and representatives of the Nigerian Army, Defence Headquarters, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Customs Service and the Federal Road Safety Corps.
Also present were the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Garba Faskari; the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr Nasiru Mu’azu Danmusa; the Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Fadila Mohammed Dikko; as well as prominent religious leaders.
Deliberations at the meeting focused on recent security developments in the state, persisting challenges, and coordinated measures aimed at enhancing public safety, sustaining stability and supporting the overall development of Katsina State.
