AB Dabai Distributes Cash, Water Pumps to 180 Constituents in Bakori–Danja

-

The member representing Bakori–Danja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdullahi Balarabe Dabai (Tafidan Danja), has again extended empowerment support to his constituents with the distribution of cash grants and water pumping machines to 180 beneficiaries across the constituency.

The empowerment programme, which held on Monday, December 29, 2025, drew beneficiaries from all wards of Bakori and Danja Local Government Areas and was aimed at promoting self-reliance, boosting livelihoods and strengthening grassroots economic activities.

Under the scheme, 130 beneficiaries received direct cash support, while 50 others were provided with water pumping machines to enhance agricultural productivity and small-scale irrigation. The pumps included both petrol-powered and solar-powered units to ensure sustainability and ease of use. Cash beneficiaries were supported at different levels, with some receiving ₦200,000, others ₦150,000, while another group received ₦100,000 each, based on assessed needs.

Those who benefited from the intervention cut across various segments of the constituency, including party leaders and supporters, members of Hon. Dabai’s women committee, his special assistants and other community stakeholders.

The latest empowerment exercise adds to a growing list of interventions carried out by Hon. Dabai since assuming office. In the past, he has facilitated skills acquisition and capacity-building programmes for youths in the constituency, including training in digital skills, online journalism and small-scale entrepreneurship, with beneficiaries receiving startup support to establish their own ventures. He has also supported vocational training in areas such as soap and pomade production, provided scholarships to students, assisted farmers with agricultural inputs and facilitated medical interventions for constituents in need.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Dabai urged the beneficiaries to make good and productive use of the support, stressing that the objective of the programme was to empower people to become self-sustaining and economically active. He prayed for Allah’s guidance and blessings on the beneficiaries and for continued peace, unity and progress in Bakori–Danja Federal Constituency.
