Katsina Health Worker Recruitment Panel Uncovers Fake Remita Receipt Syndicate

-

The Katsina State Health Workers Recruitment Committee says it has uncovered a syndicate allegedly generating and selling fake Remita payment receipts to job applicants participating in the ongoing recruitment exercise.

The Chairman of the Committee, Lawal Rufa’i Safana, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, noting that the fraudulent activity was detected during the meticulous screening of candidates at the Malumfashi Centre. According to him, the forged receipts were being used by some applicants to falsely present themselves as holders of valid operational or practice licences.

Safana said the affected candidates, along with the suspected members of the syndicate, have been handed over to security agencies for further investigation.

He warned applicants to ensure that all documents and information submitted to the committee are genuine, stressing that the panel will not tolerate any form of fraud in the recruitment process.

The chairman reiterated the committee’s commitment to conducting a transparent and accountable recruitment exercise across the state.
