KATSINA — The Katsina State Government has launched the Katsina Graduate Entrepreneurs Fund (KGEF), an initiative designed to provide graduates with interest-free financing to establish and expand businesses.
Governor Dikko Umaru Radda flagged off the programme, which is aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, addressing unemployment and enabling graduates to turn their skills and business ideas into sustainable enterprises.
The Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency (KASEDA), which announced the development, said successful applicants had been selected for the programme.
It explained that beneficiaries would undergo training before funds are disbursed, adding that financing for eligible applicants was expected to follow shortly after the training.
KASEDA advised successful applicants to monitor its official communication channels for further instructions and updates on the programme.
The agency said the initiative was intended to address access to capital, a major challenge facing aspiring entrepreneurs, while creating opportunities for graduates to become business owners and employers.
It reaffirmed its commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and fostering the growth of businesses across Katsina State.
