Katsina Govt Orders Fresh Screening of Retirees from January–October 2025…Pension Reform Committee invites affected state and LG workers for verification on Nov. 17

-

The Katsina State Government has directed the State Pension Harmonisation and Reforms Committee to conduct an immediate verification exercise for state and local government workers who retired between January and October 2025 but missed earlier screening rounds.

This directive was issued by Governor Dikko Umar Radda, PhD, CON, as part of efforts to ensure that all retirees receive their legitimate entitlements without delay.

According to an announcement signed by the Committee’s Secretary, Honourable Muntari Ammani, the fresh verification will allow workers who were unavailable during previous sessions to be screened and cleared for payment.

The exercise is scheduled to begin on Monday, 17 November, at the EEC Office along Kano Road, Katsina, starting at 10:00 a.m.

The Committee advised all affected retirees from both the state civil service and local government councils to attend with the following documents:

  • Letter of first appointment
  • Letter of last promotion
  • Notification of retirement
  • Gratuity computation sheet (checked and passed)
  • Bank statement from January to September 2025

The government urged retirees to comply with the screening schedule to facilitate prompt processing of their benefits.
