Governor Radda Hails Tinubu as Four Katsina Indigenes Secure Key Federal Appointments

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the appointment of four indigenes of Katsina State into strategic federal positions.

The governor described the appointments as well-deserved, attributing them to the competence, dedication, and track records of the beneficiaries.

Among those appointed is Dr. Idris M. Bugaje, who was reappointed as Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education for a second five-year term from 2026 to 2031.

Radda noted that Bugaje’s first tenure saw significant reforms in technical and vocational education, including improved accreditation processes, expanded access, and stronger collaboration between institutions and industry.

Engineer Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz

Also reappointed is Engineer Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Transmission Company of Nigeria. The governor said the appointment reflects confidence in Abdulaziz’s engineering expertise and leadership in driving improvements in the country’s power infrastructure.

Senator Ibrahim Ida

In a related development, Senator Ibrahim Ida was appointed Chairman of the Corporate Affairs Commission. Radda described the former senator as an experienced lawmaker with deep knowledge of governance and business regulation.

Similarly, Professor Sadiq Isah Radda was appointed Federal Commissioner at the National Population Commission. The governor said his academic and administrative background positions him well to contribute to national planning through effective population data management.

Governor Radda praised President Tinubu for finding Katsina indigenes worthy of national service and urged the appointees to uphold integrity, transparency, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

He added that the state is proud of their achievements and expressed confidence that they would make meaningful contributions to national development.
