Hon. Abdullahi Balarabe Dabai, Member of the House of Representatives representing Bakori/Danja Federal Constituency, has completed the rehabilitation of the electricity line running from Bakori to Guga.

The project restores power supply to several communities that had been without electricity for an extended period. Benefiting areas include Unguwar Karma in Kurami-Yankwani ward, Layin Rama (also in Kurami-Yankwani), Danbaure and Makera communities within the same ward, Guga town, and Shuwaki in Jargaba ward.
According to information released by the lawmaker’s media team, the intervention became necessary following prolonged power outages along the line. The absence of electricity reportedly led to repeated vandalism and theft of public power infrastructure in the affected communities.

With the rehabilitation completed, residents are expected to begin receiving electricity once the transformers are fully operational.
However, the statement noted that electricity restoration works in Kandarawa, Kakumi and Yankwani communities may require more extensive intervention due to large-scale theft and damage of electrical equipment over time. Efforts are said to be underway to assess the situation and formally present the concerns of residents for further action.
The lawmaker also urged residents to safeguard public infrastructure, stressing that vandalism of government property ultimately harms the wider community.
Residents of the benefiting communities expressed appreciation for the restoration of electricity, describing it as a vital development for households and small businesses in the area.

The electricity rehabilitation forms part of ongoing constituency interventions facilitated by Hon. Dabai across Bakori and Danja Local Government Areas.
