Hon. Abdullahi Balarabe Dabai, Member of the House of Representatives representing Bakori/Danja Federal Constituency, on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, flagged off the second phase of a free medical outreach programme for residents of the constituency.

The medical outreach was officially launched at the Comprehensive Health Centre (CHC), Bakori, and is expected to benefit no fewer than 500 patients across Bakori and Danja Local Government Areas.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony on behalf of the lawmaker, the Chairman of Bakori Local Government Council described the initiative as part of the health-related commitments of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Katsina State Government under Governor Dikko Umaru Radda.

He highlighted ongoing interventions by both the Bakori Local Government Council and the state government in the health sector, noting that the free medical outreach complements existing efforts to improve access to healthcare at the grassroots.

On the first day of the exercise, about 90 patients received medical attention. Beneficiaries were drawn from Kakumi, Guga, Kandarawa, Tsiga, Barde-Kwantakwaram and Dawan Musa wards.

According to organisers, the medical outreach will continue on Thursday, with residents of Bakori A and B, Kabomo, Kurami-Yankwani and Jargaba wards scheduled to benefit.

Residents who benefited from the programme expressed appreciation to the lawmaker for the intervention, describing it as timely and impactful for families who could not afford specialised medical care.

The free medical outreach forms part of Hon. Dabai’s constituency health interventions aimed at improving access to medical services for underserved communities in Bakori and Danja.
